Dosing Directions
Place the tip of the syringe into the liquid. Turn barrel so dosing lines are visible to you.
Hold the syringe firmly in one hand, while the other hand pulls the syringe plunger upward. Pull up the plunger above the mark corresponding to the amount to be given. Holding the syringe vertically, depress the plunger lightly until the level of the syrup is at the line corresponding to the amount to be dispensed. There may be some air between the level of the syrup and the tip of the plunger. Make sure that the level of the syrup is even with the dosing line.
Administer the dose into the side of the mouth using steady pressure on the plunger. Small amounts of the dose may be administered to allow the child to swallow.
Rinse the oral syringe thoroughly with tap water. Use of detergents, alcohol or other antiseptics is not recommended. The plunger may be removed during cleaning. Do not wash the syringe in the dishwasher.
