Children’s Dimetapp® products can be purchased at most food, drug, mass outlet and club stores.

The Dimetapp® DM Cold & Cough Elixir is now only available in a purple grape flavor. Since children have always loved the Dimetapp® yummy, purple grape flavor, we recently converted the Dimetapp® DM Cold &Cough Elixir to purple grape.

Dimetapp® products which are safe and effective for children 2 and over are labeled Toddler formulas. These products do not contain an antihistamine to relieve sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes. Dimetapp® products labeled Children’s should be used by children 6 and older unless otherwise directed by a Physician. They may contain an antihistamine. None of the Dimetapp products should be used by children under 2.

The Dimetapp ® Infant product is no longer available. When products were reformulated with the nasal decongestant, phenylephrine, see Pseudoephedrine information, dosing directions changed to children 2 and over.

Children’s Dimetapp® products use a combination of natural and artificial flavors.

When using any drug product, it should be used before its expiration date. The quality and performance of a product is tested and evaluated for a certain timeframe and we cannot guarantee that the product is safe and effective beyond that. We recommend that you discard all products which have expired.

There were no changes to inactive ingredients for the Dimetapp Cold & Allergy (Liquids and Chewables), ND Allergy, Cold & Cough and Cold & Chest Congestion formulas.

The following formulas have new inactive ingredients:
1) Dimetapp Long Acting Cold and Cough has added Grape Flavor, Sucralose, FD&CBlue #1, Sorbitol Solution (70%)
2) Toddler’s Dimetapp Cold Drops has added Artificial Grape, Sucralose
3) Toddler’s Dimetapp Cold and Cough Drops has added Artificial Grape, Sucralose
4) Dimetapp Nighttime Flu has added Artificial Grape, Sucralose, Polyethylene glycol 400, Menthol, Propylene Glycol, Propyl Gallate
