What’s in Cold & Cough?

All Dimetapp formulas are alcohol‑free.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:

  1. Antihistamines help with allergies and many other symptoms.

    Brompheniramine maleate, found in Dimetapp, temporarily relieves itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by allergies, hay fever, or the common cold.

  2. Cough suppressants work to temporarily help calm coughing.

    Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, found in Dimetapp, is the most common cough suppressant.

What’s in Nighttime Cold & Cough?

All Dimetapp formulas are alcohol‑free.
  1. Antihistamines help with allergies and other symptoms, and cough suppressants work to temporarily help reduce coughing. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride does both.

    Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, found in Dimetapp, relieves itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by hay fever, allergies, or the common cold. It also works as a cough suppressant to temporarily relieve cough.
